Sizing your order

A 3.4 × 4 m room with one door has about 14 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 15.4 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

How delivery works in Greater London

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Greater London.

  • If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
  • If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
  • Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Things to check before you order

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.
