Things to check before you order

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Before your Shepherds Bush delivery arrives

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Shepherds Bush is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• In summer Shepherds Bush gets around 16h 38m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.

Sizing your order

A 3.4 × 4.6 m room with one door has about 15.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 16.7 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.
