How delivery works in Coulsdon

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Coulsdon is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• On busy streets in Coulsdon, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.

A quick quantity check

A 3 × 3.6 m room with one door has about 12.4 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 13.6 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Choosing planed timber

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Planed Timber & Mouldings questions

How soon can planed timber be delivered in Coulsdon?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

What does PAR mean?

Planed all round: the timber has been machined smooth on all four faces.

Can you deliver planed timber to a site with restricted access in Coulsdon?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Can you match an old skirting profile?

We can look for the closest current profile. Exact matches for old or bespoke profiles may need machining to order.
