How it works

The rules of thumb we use
- Bricks: 60 per m² single skin, 120 per m² one brick thick, plus 5%.
- Blocks: 10 per m², plus 5%.
- Mortar: 0.55 m³ per 1,000 bricks; dry materials 1.33 × the wet volume.
- Concrete: dry materials 1.54 × the volume; cement 1,440 kg per m³; ballast 1.7 t per m³.
- MOT Type 1: 2.1 t per m³ compacted, plus 10%.
- Plasterboard: 2.88 m² per sheet, plus 10%; 35 screws per sheet.
- Loft rolls: typical coverage 8.3 m² (100 mm) and 4.9 m² (170 mm); check the pack.

How do I get a price?
Send us your materials list, a drawing or the sizes of the job using any form on the site, call us, or use the materials calculator. We reply with a delivered price for your postcode.
Do you show prices online?
No. Material prices move and delivery costs depend on the postcode, load and access, so we quote each order delivered. The price you accept is the price you pay for that specification and delivery; if the address or access changes, we re-quote before going ahead.
