A 4.2 × 3.2 m room with one door has about 14 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 15.4 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Planed Timber & Mouldings: choosing well

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Delivery to Wimbledon: what helps

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Wimbledon is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
