Picking the right product

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Nominal versus finished size

Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.

Planning the drop in Brynmawr

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Brynmawr is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.

Common questions from Brynmawr

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

Do you sell MDF skirting?

Yes, primed MDF skirting and architrave in common profiles, alongside softwood.

Can you deliver planed timber to a site with restricted access in Brynmawr?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

How soon can planed timber be delivered in Brynmawr?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.
