How delivery works in Merthyr Tydfil

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Merthyr Tydfil is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.

Sizing your order

A 4.2 × 3.2 m room with one door has about 14 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 15.4 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Before you order planed timber

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.
