How delivery works in Cheshire
Bulk bags are usually crane-offloaded where access allows; very large quantities can be priced as loose tipped loads where access allows. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Cheshire.
- If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
- If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
- Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
Getting the right MOT Type 1
Virgin or recycled?
Recycled Type 1 can be a good option where it meets the specification; ask what your project or local authority requires.
How deep?
Patios and paths commonly use around 100 mm of compacted sub-base, and domestic driveways around 150 mm or more. Soft ground or heavier vehicles need more; your designer or installer will confirm.
Questions about MOT Type 1 delivery in Cheshire
Does Type 1 drain?
Type 1 is reasonably free-draining when compacted, which is one reason it is used under drives and patios.
Do you deliver MOT Type 1 to trades and homeowners in Cheshire?
Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
Can you tip it loose?
For larger quantities we can price a loose tipped load if the lorry can reach and there is space to tip.
Can I add other materials to my Cheshire delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from MOT Type 1 to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
