Choosing tools and site safety gear
Dust from cutting
Cutting masonry and concrete produces silica dust. Use water suppression or extraction and suitable respiratory protection, as HSE guidance sets out.
Gloves for the task
Different gloves suit different risks: cut resistance, chemical protection to EN ISO 374 for cement, or grip.
Cement burns
Wet cement can burn skin. Wear waterproof, chemical-resistant gloves (EN ISO 374) and long sleeves, and wash it off quickly.
How it arrives on site
Tools and PPE travel with the rest of your order. We agree the drop point and offload method when we price your order. Read more about how delivery works.
How much do you need?
Kitting out a crew of 4 means 4 sets each of eye protection, gloves suited to the task, a hard hat and hi-vis, plus respiratory protection for anyone cutting masonry.
Tools & Site Safety: questions

Wheelbarrows and buckets yes, and we can price mixers on request.
