Estimating your tools and site safety gear

Kitting out a crew of 3 means 3 sets each of eye protection, gloves suited to the task, a hard hat and hi-vis, plus respiratory protection for anyone cutting masonry.

Planning the drop in Cornwall

Tools and PPE travel with the rest of your order. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Cornwall.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• On busy streets in Cornwall, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.

Choosing tools and site safety gear

Cement burns

Wet cement can burn skin. Wear waterproof, chemical-resistant gloves (EN ISO 374) and long sleeves, and wash it off quickly.

Gloves for the task

Different gloves suit different risks: cut resistance, chemical protection to EN ISO 374 for cement, or grip.

Common questions from Cornwall

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Cornwall?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

Can wet cement burn skin?

Yes. Cement is alkaline and can cause burns. Wear waterproof gloves and wash any off quickly with clean water.

Do you sell wheelbarrows and mixers?

Wheelbarrows and buckets yes, and we can price mixers on request.

Do you deliver tools and site safety gear to trades and homeowners in Cornwall?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
