How delivery works in Nottinghamshire

Bulk bags are usually crane-offloaded where access allows; very large quantities can be priced as loose tipped loads where access allows. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Nottinghamshire.

  • If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
  • On busy streets in Nottinghamshire, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
  • If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.

Getting the right MOT Type 1

Virgin or recycled?

Recycled Type 1 can be a good option where it meets the specification; ask what your project or local authority requires.

Compaction

Lay and compact in layers with a plate compactor. Allow extra material because it compacts down.

Your questions answered

How much MOT Type 1 do I need?

Multiply the area by the compacted depth to get cubic metres, then allow about 2.1 to 2.2 tonnes per cubic metre. At 100 mm deep, a tonne covers roughly 4.5 square metres.

Do you deliver MOT Type 1 to trades and homeowners in Nottinghamshire?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

Can I add other materials to my Nottinghamshire delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from MOT Type 1 to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

What is the difference between Type 1 and scalpings?

Type 1 is graded to a specification so it compacts into a strong, stable layer. Scalpings are less controlled and suit less demanding areas.
