Getting CLS timber onto your Cornwall site

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Cornwall.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around TR are priced to the exact address.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.

Before you order CLS timber

Loadbearing walls

If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Stud spacing

Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Do you deliver CLS timber to trades and homeowners in Cornwall?

What does CLS stand for?

Canadian Lumber Standard. It refers to the way the timber is dried, planed and finished with rounded edges.

Can CLS be used for loadbearing walls?

Only if it is strength graded and the wall is designed for the load. Ask for graded CLS if your design calls for it.
