Getting materials onto your Nelson site

  • If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
  • Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around BB9 are priced to the exact address.
  • Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
  • Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Building control in England

In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.

Delivery to Nelson: questions

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Nelson?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

How soon can building materials be delivered in Nelson?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Can you deliver building materials to a site with restricted access in Nelson?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Do you deliver building materials to trades and homeowners in Nelson?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
