Getting tools and site safety gear onto your Torquay site

Tools and PPE travel with the rest of your order. Torquay is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• In summer Torquay gets around 16h 27m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.

Estimating your tools and site safety gear

Kitting out a crew of 3 means 3 sets each of eye protection, gloves suited to the task, a hard hat and hi-vis, plus respiratory protection for anyone cutting masonry.

Getting the right tools and site safety gear

Dust from cutting

Cutting masonry and concrete produces silica dust. Use water suppression or extraction and suitable respiratory protection, as HSE guidance sets out.

Gloves for the task

Different gloves suit different risks: cut resistance, chemical protection to EN ISO 374 for cement, or grip.
