Fixing 25 sheets of plasterboard at about 35 screws a sheet uses 875 drywall screws, or 1 box of 1,000.

Delivery to Sale: what helps

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Sale is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.

Things to check before you order

Length

A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.

Structural fixings

Joist hangers, straps and structural connections need the fixings the connector maker specifies.

Common questions from Sale

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Sale?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

What screws for plasterboard?

Drywall screws: coarse thread for timber studs, fine thread or self-drilling for metal.

Can I use ordinary screws with treated timber?

Outdoors, use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings to avoid corrosion.

How soon can screws and nails be delivered in Sale?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.
