Fixing 20 sheets of plasterboard at about 35 screws a sheet uses 700 drywall screws, or 1 box of 1,000.

Length

A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.

Structural fixings

Joist hangers, straps and structural connections need the fixings the connector maker specifies.

Planning the drop in Alness

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Alness is in an area where deliveries are priced individually because of the distance and access, so we quote each order separately.

• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
