Quantities: a worked example

Skimming 40 m² of walls and ceilings at about 2 mm takes around 4 bags of 25 kg finishing plaster, plus angle beads for external corners. Coverage varies with the background, so allow a spare bag.

Old plaster sets fast and unevenly. Order it close to when you need it and keep bags dry.

Board finish is made for plasterboard; multi-finish suits most undercoats and board.

Delivery to Sale: what helps

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load; keep them dry and off the floor. Sale is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• With roughly 7h 29m of daylight in Sale around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.

Do you deliver plaster to trades and homeowners in Sale?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

Which undercoat for a brick wall?

Hardwall is the usual choice for high-suction backgrounds like brick and blockwork.

What is the difference between multi-finish and board finish?

Board finish is designed for skimming plasterboard. Multi-finish works on plasterboard and on undercoat plasters, so it is the more flexible choice.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Sale?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.
