Delivery to Leicester: what helps
Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Leicester is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
- Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
- Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
Getting the right planed timber
Softwood or MDF trim?
MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.
Matching old profiles
Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.
Planed Timber & Mouldings in Leicester: questions
What does PAR mean?
Planed all round: the timber has been machined smooth on all four faces.
Can I add other materials to my Leicester delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from planed timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
Do you deliver planed timber to trades and homeowners in Leicester?
Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
How should I store planed timber?
Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.
