Before your Bridgwater delivery arrives

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Bridgwater is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
• In summer Bridgwater gets around 16h 34m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Sizing your order

A 3 × 3.2 m room with one door has about 11.6 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 12.8 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Picking the right product

Nominal versus finished size

Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Planed Timber & Mouldings in Bridgwater: questions

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

How soon can planed timber be delivered in Bridgwater?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Bridgwater?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

What does PAR mean?

Planed all round: the timber has been machined smooth on all four faces.
