How delivery works in Thurso

Sheets come in packs on the lorry bed, crane-lifted or hand-offloaded. Thurso is in an area where deliveries are priced individually because of the distance and access, so we quote each order separately.

• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Before you order OSB, MDF and chipboard

OSB or plywood?

OSB3 is usually cheaper and fine for most structural decking in humid conditions. Plywood is stiffer, takes fixings near edges better and performs better where it may get wet.

Cutting MDF safely

MDF dust is fine; cut with extraction and wear suitable respiratory protection.
