Underground Drainage delivery in Dundee

Underground drainage is the system of plastic pipes, bends, junctions and inspection chambers that carries foul and surface water away from a building, most often in 110 mm PVC-U pipe.

We deliver drainage to sites, driveways and yards across Dundee, from a single pallet for a small job to full loads for bigger builds.

How delivery works in Dundee

Pipe travels in 3 m and 6 m lengths; fittings and chambers come boxed or loose with the load. Dundee is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
  • In summer Dundee gets around 17h 45m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
  • For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.

Quantities: a worked example

An 18 m run of 110 mm drain needs 6 pipes in 3 m lengths (or 3 in 6 m lengths), plus a bend or junction at each change of direction and an inspection chamber where your design shows one. Add pea gravel for bedding and surround and we will price the lot together.

Underground Drainage: choosing well

Building over or near a sewer

Building near a public sewer may need permission from the water company. Check before you dig.

Foul or surface water?

Foul (sewage) and surface water often need to go to different places. Check where your drains connect before you order.

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.
