How delivery works in Wallsend

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Wallsend is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around NE28 are priced to the exact address.
  • For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
  • In summer Wallsend gets around 17h 22m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Before you order CLS timber

Which size?

38 × 63 mm suits most partitions up to standard ceiling heights. 38 × 89 mm gives stiffer, taller walls and more room for insulation.

Loadbearing walls

If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Your questions answered

How many studs do I need?

Divide the wall length by the stud spacing (400 or 600 mm), add one, then add plates and noggins. Our plasterboard calculator gives the boards for the same wall.

Can you deliver CLS timber to a site with restricted access in Wallsend?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Can CLS be used for loadbearing walls?

Only if it is strength graded and the wall is designed for the load. Ask for graded CLS if your design calls for it.

Can I add other materials to my Wallsend delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from CLS timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
