Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Which size?

38 × 63 mm suits most partitions up to standard ceiling heights. 38 × 89 mm gives stiffer, taller walls and more room for insulation.

How delivery works in Newton Mearns

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Newton Mearns is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
