Sizing your order

A 3 m partition 2.4 m high at 400 mm centres takes 9 CLS studs, 6 m of head and sole plate and a row of noggins, then boarding on both sides. Work out the boards too

Before your Brent delivery arrives

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Brent is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• With roughly 7h 49m of daylight in Brent around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Which size?

38 × 63 mm suits most partitions up to standard ceiling heights. 38 × 89 mm gives stiffer, taller walls and more room for insulation.

Stud spacing

Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Can I add other materials to my Brent delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from CLS timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

What does CLS stand for?

Canadian Lumber Standard. It refers to the way the timber is dried, planed and finished with rounded edges.

Is CLS timber treated?

CLS is kiln dried rather than treated as standard, because it is meant for dry internal use. Treated CLS is available if you need it.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Brent?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.
