Picking the right product
Soft or sharp?
Use soft building sand for mortar because it gives a smooth, sticky mix. Use sharp sand where strength and drainage matter: screeds, concrete and paving beds.
Covering bulk bags
Cover bags to stop sand drying out or getting saturated, and keep it clean of debris.
How delivery works in London
Bulk bags are usually crane-lifted onto a drive or kerb where the vehicle and access allow; small bags travel with a mixed load. London is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
- Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
- In summer London gets around 16h 38m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
