Before your Shirley delivery arrives

Tools and PPE travel with the rest of your order. Shirley is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• In summer Shirley gets around 16h 49m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.

Things to check before you order

Dust from cutting

Cutting masonry and concrete produces silica dust. Use water suppression or extraction and suitable respiratory protection, as HSE guidance sets out.

Cement burns

Wet cement can burn skin. Wear waterproof, chemical-resistant gloves (EN ISO 374) and long sleeves, and wash it off quickly.

Quantities: a worked example

Kitting out a crew of 3 means 3 sets each of eye protection, gloves suited to the task, a hard hat and hi-vis, plus respiratory protection for anyone cutting masonry.
