Planning the drop in Sale

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Sale is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around M33 are priced to the exact address.

Things to check before you order

Structural use

Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

Thickness for floors

18 mm or more is common for floors on joists at 400 mm centres; follow your design.

Quantities: a worked example

Decking 12 m² with 2440 × 1220 mm sheets takes 5 sheets including 10% for cutting.

Is shuttering ply suitable for building?

It is made for concrete formwork, not for permanent structural decks. Use structural ply for roofs and floors.

Can you deliver plywood to a site with restricted access in Sale?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

What thickness for a flat roof deck?

18 mm structural ply is common on joists at 400 mm centres; your design may specify more.

Can I add other materials to my Sale delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from plywood to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
