Before your Swanley delivery arrives

Boards are heavy and fragile at the edges; they travel flat and are best stored flat and dry. Swanley is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.

Things to check before you order

Which board type?

Use moisture-resistant board in wet rooms, fire board where a fire rating is required, and acoustic board for quieter rooms. Building regulations or your design set the requirement.

Tapered or square edge?

Tapered edge boards are for taping and jointing without a skim; square edge boards are normally skimmed.
