Getting plasterboard onto your Dunoon site

Boards are heavy and fragile at the edges; they travel flat and are best stored flat and dry. Dunoon is in an area where deliveries are priced individually because of the distance and access, so we quote each order separately.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.

Picking the right product

Tapered or square edge?

Tapered edge boards are for taping and jointing without a skim; square edge boards are normally skimmed.

Which board type?

Use moisture-resistant board in wet rooms, fire board where a fire rating is required, and acoustic board for quieter rooms. Building regulations or your design set the requirement.

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.

How much will you need?
