Getting the right plaster

Fresh stock matters

Old plaster sets fast and unevenly. Order it close to when you need it and keep bags dry.

Undercoat for the background

Hardwall suits high-suction backgrounds like brick and block; bonding suits low-suction backgrounds like concrete or painted surfaces.

How delivery works in Briton Ferry

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load; keep them dry and off the floor. Briton Ferry is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around SA11 are priced to the exact address.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.

Sizing your order

Skimming 40 m² of walls and ceilings at about 2 mm takes around 4 bags of 25 kg finishing plaster, plus angle beads for external corners. Coverage varies with the background, so allow a spare bag.
