Plaster & Beads: choosing well

Fresh stock matters

Old plaster sets fast and unevenly. Order it close to when you need it and keep bags dry.

Finish coat

Board finish is made for plasterboard; multi-finish suits most undercoats and board.

Sizing your order

Skimming 60 m² of walls and ceilings at about 2 mm takes around 6 bags of 25 kg finishing plaster, plus angle beads for external corners. Coverage varies with the background, so allow a spare bag.

Delivery to Gorseinon: what helps

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load; keep them dry and off the floor. Gorseinon is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
• Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
