How much will you need?
A 3 × 4 m room with one door has about 13.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 14.5 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.
Planed Timber & Mouldings: choosing well
Nominal versus finished size
Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.
Softwood or MDF trim?
MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.
Planning the drop in Sutton Coldfield
Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Sutton Coldfield is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around B73 are priced to the exact address.
- If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
- In summer Sutton Coldfield gets around 16h 51m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
