How much will you need?

A 3.8 × 3.2 m room with one door has about 13.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 14.5 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Getting planed timber onto your Powys site

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Powys.

• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around SY are priced to the exact address.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Before you order planed timber

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Questions about planed timber delivery in Powys

What does PAR mean?

Planed all round: the timber has been machined smooth on all four faces.

Can I add other materials to my Powys delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from planed timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

How soon can planed timber be delivered in Powys?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.
