Planning the drop in Neath

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Neath is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• In summer Neath gets around 16h 40m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Before you order planed timber

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Working out quantities for your Neath job

A 3.4 × 3.6 m room with one door has about 13.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 14.5 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Planed Timber & Mouldings questions

Do you deliver planed timber to trades and homeowners in Neath?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

Do you sell MDF skirting?

Yes, primed MDF skirting and architrave in common profiles, alongside softwood.

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

Can I add other materials to my Neath delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from planed timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
