Delivery to Dewsbury: what helps

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Dewsbury is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.

Things to check before you order

Nominal versus finished size

Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Ordering planed timber for Dewsbury: FAQs

What does PAR mean?

Planed all round: the timber has been machined smooth on all four faces.

Can you deliver planed timber to a site with restricted access in Dewsbury?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

Do you deliver planed timber to trades and homeowners in Dewsbury?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
