Working out quantities for your Batley job

A 3.4 × 4 m room with one door has about 14 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 15.4 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Planning the drop in Batley

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Batley is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around WF17 are priced to the exact address.

Planed Timber & Mouldings: choosing well

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.
