Planning the drop in Bournemouth

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Bournemouth is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around BH1 are priced to the exact address.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.

A quick quantity check

A 3.4 × 4.6 m room with one door has about 15.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 16.7 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Before you order planed timber

Nominal versus finished size

Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.
