Delivery to Dunfermline: what helps

Boards are light but bulky; they travel in wrapped packs and should be stored flat and dry. Dunfermline is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around KY12 are priced to the exact address.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Picking the right product

Thickness for the U-value

The thickness you need depends on the U-value the building regulations require and the rest of the build-up. Manufacturers publish U-value tables; your designer or the council's building standards service will confirm.

Fire considerations

PIR is a combustible product. Building regulations restrict combustible materials in some situations, such as external walls of taller buildings; check what applies.

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.
