Getting MOT Type 1 onto your Gloucestershire site
Bulk bags are usually crane-offloaded where access allows; very large quantities can be priced as loose tipped loads where access allows. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Gloucestershire.
- Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
- If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
- Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
Getting the right MOT Type 1
How deep?
Patios and paths commonly use around 100 mm of compacted sub-base, and domestic driveways around 150 mm or more. Soft ground or heavier vehicles need more; your designer or installer will confirm.
Virgin or recycled?
Recycled Type 1 can be a good option where it meets the specification; ask what your project or local authority requires.
MOT Type 1 Sub-base in Gloucestershire: questions
Can I add other materials to my Gloucestershire delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from MOT Type 1 to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
Can you deliver MOT Type 1 to a site with restricted access in Gloucestershire?
Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.
Can you tip it loose?
For larger quantities we can price a loose tipped load if the lorry can reach and there is space to tip.
How much MOT Type 1 do I need?
Multiply the area by the compacted depth to get cubic metres, then allow about 2.1 to 2.2 tonnes per cubic metre. At 100 mm deep, a tonne covers roughly 4.5 square metres.
