Before your Yate delivery arrives

• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Compaction

Lay and compact in layers with a plate compactor. Allow extra material because it compacts down.

How deep?

Patios and paths commonly use around 100 mm of compacted sub-base, and domestic driveways around 150 mm or more. Soft ground or heavier vehicles need more; your designer or installer will confirm.

Sizing your order

A 5 × 3 m area at 100 mm compacted is 1.5 m³. At about 2.1 tonnes per cubic metre plus 10% that is 3.5 tonnes, or around 5 bulk bags. Try the sub-base calculator

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Yate?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

Do you deliver MOT Type 1 to Yate?
