Before your Edinburgh and the Lothians delivery arrives

Rolls are compressed and wrapped; they are light but take up space, so tell us if storage is tight. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Edinburgh and the Lothians.

• On busy streets in Edinburgh and the Lothians, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.

Before you order mineral wool insulation

Keep it ventilated

When insulating a loft, keep eaves vents clear so the roof space stays ventilated.

Glass or stone wool?

Glass wool rolls are light and economical for lofts. Stone wool slabs are denser and often chosen for acoustics and fire stopping.

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.
