Planning the drop in Ledbury

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Ledbury is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
  • Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
  • If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Things to check before you order

Stud spacing

Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Loadbearing walls

If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Ordering CLS timber for Ledbury: FAQs

What does CLS stand for?

Canadian Lumber Standard. It refers to the way the timber is dried, planed and finished with rounded edges.

How soon can CLS timber be delivered in Ledbury?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Can you deliver CLS timber to a site with restricted access in Ledbury?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Is CLS timber treated?

CLS is kiln dried rather than treated as standard, because it is meant for dry internal use. Treated CLS is available if you need it.
