How much will you need?

A 5.4 m partition 2.4 m high at 400 mm centres takes 15 CLS studs, 10.8 m of head and sole plate and a row of noggins, then boarding on both sides. Work out the boards too

Planning the drop in Angus and Dundee

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Angus and Dundee.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Stud spacing

Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Loadbearing walls

If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Can you deliver CLS timber to a site with restricted access in Angus and Dundee?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Can CLS be used for loadbearing walls?

Only if it is strength graded and the wall is designed for the load. Ask for graded CLS if your design calls for it.

Is CLS timber treated?

CLS is kiln dried rather than treated as standard, because it is meant for dry internal use. Treated CLS is available if you need it.

Can I add other materials to my Angus and Dundee delivery?
