Getting the right bricks

Matching an existing house

Bring us the brick name if you know it, or a clear photo of a cleaned face in daylight with a tape measure for scale. Size matters as much as colour: older imperial bricks are often slightly larger than 65 mm.

Is the wall exposed?

For walls that will get very wet and freeze, such as parapets, copings, below DPC or free-standing garden walls, use a clay brick declared F2 (freeze-thaw resistant) and S2 (low soluble salts).

In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.

Planning the drop in Fulham

Bricks come in strapped packs, usually on a pallet, and are lifted off by a lorry-mounted crane where the drop point allows. Fulham is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • In summer Fulham gets around 16h 38m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
  • For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
  • Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.

Common questions from Fulham

Do you deliver bricks to Fulham?

Yes. We deliver across Fulham, including SW6, SW5, W14, W6. Fulham is inside our standard mainland delivery area. Send your list or call 0800 088 6341 and we will price it delivered to your postcode.

Can you match my existing bricks?

Often, yes. Send the brick name if you have it, or a daylight photo of a clean face with a tape measure for scale. We will look for the nearest match in current ranges and can usually arrange a sample before you commit to a full order.

Which bricks go below the damp-proof course?

Below DPC you need bricks that cope with constant damp and frost: engineering bricks, or clay facings declared F2 and S2. Concrete bricks are another option for below-ground work.

Do you deliver bricks to trades and homeowners in Fulham?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
