Roofing Materials delivered to Fulham

Roofing materials are the tiles or slates, battens, underlay membranes and fixings that make up a pitched roof covering, plus the flat-roof materials for smaller roofs.

We deliver roofing materials to sites, driveways and yards across Fulham, from a single pallet for a small job to full loads for bigger builds.

Planning the drop in Fulham

Tiles and slates arrive palletised and are usually crane-offloaded where access allows; battens and membrane rolls travel with them. Fulham is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • In summer Fulham gets around 16h 38m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
  • Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
  • Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.

Getting the right roofing materials

Check the minimum pitch

Every tile and slate has a minimum rafter pitch set by the manufacturer. A shallow extension roof may rule some tiles out.

Fixing requirements

BS 5534 sets out how tiles must be fixed against wind uplift, which in most cases means every tile is mechanically fixed. Ask for the fixing specification with your tiles.

In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.

A quick quantity check

A 42 m² roof slope needs roughly 420 large-format interlocking tiles, or about 2,520 small plain tiles, before ridge, hip and verge pieces. The exact count comes from the tile's gauge, so send us the roof measurements and pitch and we will work it out with the battens and membrane.

Your questions answered

Do you deliver roofing materials to trades and homeowners in Fulham?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

How soon can roofing materials be delivered in Fulham?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Do I need a breathable membrane?

Most new pitched roofs use a breathable (vapour-permeable) underlay, which helps control condensation in the roof space. Some designs use a non-breathable underlay with ventilation instead.

Can you match old clay tiles?

We can look for close current matches. Reclaimed tiles are another route for very old roofs; ask and we will tell you what we can source.
