Delivering ballast and gravel in Surrey
Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Surrey.
- Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
- If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
- Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
Choosing ballast and gravel
Ballast or separate sand and gravel?
All-in ballast is convenient for general concrete. For more control over the mix, use separate sharp sand and gravel.
Decorative areas
Lay decorative gravel over a weed membrane and a firm base so it does not sink.
