Planning the drop in Cowes

Boxed with the rest of your order. Cowes needs a ferry crossing, so deliveries are quoted individually with the crossing included.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• In summer Cowes gets around 16h 30m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.

Getting the right adhesives and sealants

Fire-stopping

Ordinary foam is not a fire stop. Where a fire seal is required use a tested fire-rated product and install it as tested.

Ventilation

Some adhesives and foams give off fumes while curing; use them in a ventilated space.

Quantities: a worked example

Sealing round 6 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 28.8 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 10 cartridges of frame sealant.
