Choosing adhesives and sealants

Fire-stopping

Which sealant where?

Use sanitary silicone in wet areas, low-modulus sealant around frames that move, and paintable caulk on trims to be decorated.

• With roughly 7h 51m of daylight in Bath around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Sizing your order

Sealing round 8 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 38.4 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 13 cartridges of frame sealant.
