Picking the right product

Cement burns

Wet cement can burn skin. Wear waterproof, chemical-resistant gloves (EN ISO 374) and long sleeves, and wash it off quickly.

Dust from cutting

Cutting masonry and concrete produces silica dust. Use water suppression or extraction and suitable respiratory protection, as HSE guidance sets out.

Quantities: a worked example

Kitting out a crew of 5 means 5 sets each of eye protection, gloves suited to the task, a hard hat and hi-vis, plus respiratory protection for anyone cutting masonry.

Getting tools and site safety gear onto your Trowbridge site

Tools and PPE travel with the rest of your order. Trowbridge is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• On busy streets in Trowbridge, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
