Getting screws and nails onto your South Glamorgan site

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Our standard mainland delivery area covers South Glamorgan.

• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.

Getting the right screws and nails

Inside or outside?

Use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings outdoors and with treated timber, so they do not corrode.

Length

A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.
